Overview: OSX Lion
The anticipated release of Apples new Operating system named Lion will be released within a few weeks. In July you will be able to purchase OSX Lion for $29 which will give you the ability to install the new operating system right from the app store on up to 10 different machines with the same license.
Feature: OSX Lion Restart to Safari
OS X Lion's features have been known for a while now, however Apple has slipped a nice feature called "Restart to Safari" within it's user lock screen.
Headline: Google Chrome hits Version 12
Google Chrome's has reached version 12, bringing us hardware acceleration for 3D CSS, better in-browser privacy for the built-in Adobe Flash Player, and safer downloads. Chrome 12 will automatically scan downloads to check for malicious files, warning users when they're found. Gears on the other hand has officially been removed. Which means no more offline Gmail access for Chrome users.
WWDC 2011: iOS5, OSX Lion, and iCloud
Apple had made a press release outlining what will be revealed at this years Worldwide Developers Conference. Apple will be announcing there new Desktop Operating system called OS X Lion as well as a new version of the mobil device iOS 5 while also debuting a new service called iCloud.
Apple to Issue Update to Remove "MacDefender" Malware
Apple has posted a Knowledge Base article that addresses the recent MacDefender malware issue and also stated they will be addressing it with in the next few days with a software update. Apple describes "MacDefender" as a recent phishing scam that has targeted Mac users by redirecting them from legitimate websites to fake sites which tell them that their computer is infected with a virus. The user is then offered Mac Defender "anti-virus" software to solve the issue.

Seagate has announced a rechargeable wireless harddrive that can connect up to 3 iOS device at one time called "GoFlex Satellite" hard drive. Anyone needing some extra storage will love this device the ability to take a larger number of HD movies, music, images without having to kill your data plan is always a plus.

Apple has implemented a new temperature sensor system on its latest iMac models that will make it hard for users to replace their original hard drives in the case of failure or an upgrade.
Microsoft Buys Skype for $8.5 Billion
Microsoft agreed to buy Skype for $8.5 billion, acquire 170 million active users, The takeover may help lure Skype users to Microsoft’s phones and software and narrow Google Inc. lead in Internet advertising. Microsoft will connect Skype to its Outlook e-mail, Xbox game console, Windows mobile phones and corporate-phone software. The acquisition is also the biggest Internet takeover in more than a decade.
Headline: VMware vSphere 5 to add cloud support for OSX server
VMware has plans to support Mac OS X Server in their next release of vSphere. This product allows companies to build cloud infrastructures, offering a more flexible and management envirment than if they would allocate dedicated hardware to every server instance.

Rumor: Siri Assistant said to be Deeply Integrated into iOS5
Some of you may know the iPhone app called Siri Assistant originally release back in 2010. What you may have not known is that Apple purchased it back in 2010 as well. I have been waiting and excited to see what apple will do with this tech. I have been a big fan of Siri since its launch. It is still available in the App-Store .
AT&T agrees to buy T-Mobile for $39 Billion
AT&T and Deutshe Telekom have entered into an agreement for the sale of T-Mobile USA for $39 billion in cash and stocks. The companies estimate it'll take them 12 months to get though all the bureaucracy, th eproposed network merger will create a GSM monopoly. This will bring us to 3 major US carriers.
Firefox 4 now available to download, official release tomorrow
