Come Sept 13th Apple will be loosening up it's reins.

Best Buy will begin offering AppleCare and AppleCare+ extended protection plans for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and other eligible Apple products across its U.S. Stores starting according to an internal training video obtained by MacRumors.

AppleCare and AppleCare+ purchased through Best Buy will for all intensive purposed work in the same way. Covering accidental damage for the same service fees charged by Apple. You also have the option to either have your device serviced at Best Buy or take it directly to an Apple Store.

This comes at a perfect time making it easy to pickup a protection plan for your newly purchased apple watch at BestBuy and right before the release of new iPhones. I’ve always made my purchases from the AppleStore because there were less hoops to jump through to get AppleCare+ but as it stands BestBuy has done away with any excuse I may have had.
