Google to 'pause' its Fiber rollout | Engadget

Google started rolling out Gigabit fiber as a proof of concept, Showing other internet service providers and customers that it can be done. Today google announced they will no longer be rolling out into any new cities.

I would have jumped at the chance to get google fiber as I'm sure many small businesses have. I know people personally who have moved in order to get google fiber and would think others in cities scheduled for roll outs will be disappointed in this news.

Google is a large company with many branches when the thing they have always done well is knowing when to cut their losses and move on. I believe their true goal to disrupt the market and show the need and they have done that.
