Apple introduces Apple Music API for developers | iMore

Apple has introduced a new Apple Music API, which allows developers to control Apple Music playback within their own apps. Developers can use the API to do things like queue up a new song, or create a new playlist with its own title and description.

This has been something dev's have been wanting for. Something needed to compete with say Spotify. I still feel Spotify has the edge when it comes to the API but it's a step in the right direction for Apple and can't wait to see what Dev's do with it.
