Apple Pay hits the airways, Becoming first inflight accepted Airline.

JetBlue has announced starting next week.  Buying food, drinks and certain onboard amenities as well as upgrading to premium seats, all with the help of Apple Pay.

We all know purchasing things on a flight can become a bit difficult while fumbling though wallets and purses in confined cramped seats not to mention if you need to get something from an overhead bin.

Pulling out your iPhone6 or iPhone6+ and taping it to a flight attendant new iPad Mini with NFC-capable case, is a no brainier. Especially since for most of us our phones are in reaching distance or being used.

Note: WI-Fi is not required to use Apple Pay

Availability:

JetBlue will begin offering Apple Pay with transcontinental flights between JFK and airports in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Additional flights will be added in March, with all JetBlue flights slated to accept Apple Pay by June.
