What I Found
Grip or a raised lip?
SUPCASE sent me the UB Grip and UB Aero for this first look. Both add protection around the iPhone Duo, but the useful difference is how that changes the phone in your hand. The UB Grip adds noticeable bulk; the UB Aero has a raised edge that immediately made me wonder whether it would get in the way during use.
I fitted the UB Grip, checked the front screen response, and opened and closed the phone. The screen still felt smooth and responsive in this quick test. The rotating grip can also act as a stand, including in portrait, but it was a little awkward for me to open and could rock when I pressed the phone at certain angles. Standing up on a desk and feeling stable while you interact with it are two different things to check.
The UB Aero has the carbon-fiber look I show beside the more translucent UB Grip. Its back section comes up around the edge of the closed phone. I fitted that back section, but left the separate front screen protector off because I was swapping between the cases. That matters: this is not a completed test of the Aero with every piece installed.
My initial preference was the UB Grip because of the Aero’s raised lip. That is an early handling preference, not a drop-test result or a long-term verdict. I still need time using each case before deciding how the extra bulk, hinge coverage, grip, and front protection work in daily life.

The short version
The UB Grip made the stronger first impression for me, even with its added bulk. The Aero’s raised edge may be the bigger everyday trade-off. Check how a case feels while opening, touching, and standing the phone; this first look does not establish drop protection or durability.
