Getting started with Vision PRO SKD with AppleInsider

Apple has released its visionOS SDK and developer tools, which include Xcode 15 beta 2, Command Line Tools, Font Tools, and the visionOS 1 Beta Simulator Runtime. The SDK supports 3D models and spaces, and developers can use ARKit, RealityKit, and SwiftUI to build their apps. The visionOS simulator can be installed through various methods, including leaving downloaded components in the Downloads folder or installing on first launch. Apple also announced developer labs to test apps on prototype Vision Pro hardware and developer kits containing the hardware will be available for purchase in July. The learning curve for visionOS can be steep and involves mastering 3D models and spaces, Pixar's Universal Scene Description, and Industrial Light + Magic's MaterialX standard.
