LOC8 URBAN on iPhone Duo

What I Found

The Fit Is the Tradeoff

The JOURNEY LOC8 URBAN pairs with Find My and attaches to the iPhone Duo, but the fit is the part I would look at closely. There is a small lip hanging beyond the shorter phone, and turning the wallet around does not solve it. I put it beside an iPhone 18 so you can see the difference rather than relying on a compatibility label.

In the unboxing, the metal frame gives the wallet more weight than I expected. I load six cards and some cash, try the card-access mechanism, and check the magnetic attachment on both phones. It feels solid in this first look, though it feels a little more slippery on the Duo than on the 18. That is a hands-on impression, not a measured retention or drop test.

The useful setup detail is Find My’s Add Other Item option. My first attempt does not find the wallet; I connect it to power, try Other Item, complete pairing, and play its sound. The video does not establish whether extra power was necessary, so I would not turn that troubleshooting moment into a battery diagnosis.

For me, the extra thickness and having my wallet attached whenever I take a call are the larger everyday-carry questions. I normally use a separate wallet. If you already like magnetic wallets, the close-ups should help you decide whether the Duo overhang is acceptable. JOURNEY provided this wallet for review. These are first impressions; some gear links may earn me a commission at no extra cost to you.

What this video covers

  • The black LOC8 URBAN unboxing and metal-frame construction.
  • Find My pairing through Add Other Item and a Play Sound check.
  • Loading six cards and cash, then trying card access.
  • Side-by-side fit on the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18.
  • The overhanging lip, added thickness, and separate-wallet tradeoff.

The short version

It attaches and pairs, but the Duo fit has a visible compromise. Watch the edge close-ups and the comparison with the iPhone 18 before deciding. My takeaway is about the wallet’s size and pocket bulk in this setup, not a long-term durability, tracking-range, or charging verdict.
