Meet Crystal and say goodbye to ads in iOS9
One key new feature of iOS9, is the ability to use native content blockers.
There has always been many third-party Ad blockers available in the app store, but none of which are native until now. They all required you to utilize their own build-in browsers. With the latest release of iOS9 developers now have the tools and access need to produce a native seamless experience from within Safari. The long awaited Crystal has hit the App Store running after a long positive beta period.
A side effect of an
adless
world is faster load times, less data usage and longer battery life.
There is a world without ads, just a few clicks away.
After downloading/installing the app, you’ll need to visit the Safari’s settings menu and enable Crystal under content blockers and you're ready to go.
It's just that easy.
If you find the need to disable Crystal on a particular site after enabling it, just hold down the refresh button and then select “Reload Without Content Blockers.”

Update: (September 27, 2015)
We do not usually reverse our standings of a service or product, however, when the developer doesn't know where they stand or just simply changed their mind, which is the case of Crystal we clearly have to.
The Wall Street Journal as reported that Cristal raised $75k, but it seems this is just not enough for developer Dean Murphy, who has entered into an agreement that will allow other companies to pay so their ads get through Crystal's filter. Seems like he's playing both sides to me. Normally you have one client, but when both sides are paying clients isn't this a conflict of interest. I'm surprised Apple hasn't stepped in as they have in the past with lesser issues.
With over 70 companies (including Google and Microsoft) already paying to get through the
What's with this change? Should Apple step in since it's in the AppStore, because of the obvious change, leave us a comment down below or head over to our community forums.
