About:

Journova is a relatively new company located in the San Francisco bay area with a mission. To empower your journeys by keeping the devices you carry charged, organized and ready so you can focus on whats's most important. With such products like the Waycharger that merges Maximum storage power, durability and style.

First Thoughts:

Upon unboxing the unit you will notice how solid the Waycharger feels. I'm not sure if it's made of steel but sure feels like it. The unit I received is black with nice black leather accent on the sides.(+1 for style)

The Waycharger has the ability to charge two USB devices at 2.1amps each on the go. While it's 12,000 mAH capacity battery is enough to help you retreat from civilization for a bit. When you do come across that scarce AC outlet you will be happy to know. The Waycharger supports in-out technology enabling you to charge your devices while it itself is plugged in.

Before racing back out, it may be a good idea to check your battery's charge by pressing a the button ontop of the unit. Five dots will then illuminate indicating how much of a charge you have left.

Final Thoughts: (after a week of use)

The WayCharger has performed and held up great during my daily use. With 12,ooo mHA capacity battery, high speed charging and solid steel like construction with a competitive price how could you go wrong. I would suggest anyone looking for a large capacity battery to check them out.

Disappointments: (small nit-picking)

This issues I ran into are small and nit-picking hardly worth mentioning. Using this device a say a desk would negate these issues.

For me I pretty much never take my batteries out of my bag. I just run a cable out my bag and plug it into things. Or leave it in the bag charger. Even when charging the battery I just plug a miniUSB in and plug it in at my desk. Now i'm sure I am not the average guy but for me specific this layout made it hard to do this.

  • The button is hardtop get to when in pouch or bag pocket
  • Led battery indicator is hard to see when in pouch or bag pocket
  • USBmini jack would like to see it next to USB's

I would suggest moving the microUSB,led's and buttons up where the USB jacks are. Again this is just me i'm sure most people just don't leave their battery in their bag.
